Eliot Spitzer: No charges on Eliot Spitzer prostitute scandal
Eliot Spitzer, former New York Governor, has been excused from prosecution for his involvement in a prostitution scandal. US Attorney General, Michael Garcia, said investigators failed to locate any evidence that Eliot Spitzer did anything wrong in his public office. Federal prosecutors do not prosecute clients of call girl rings.
Eliot Spitzer said he was relieved he would not face charges for his past use of the hooker ring. Meanwhile, one of the accused prostitute ring leaders, Tanya Hollander, has pleaded guilty. Hollander will be sentenced in November. Her lawyer, Michael C. Farkas, voiced his opinion to say that Hollander faces a jail sentence. Farkas said, “She still faces a jail sentence, while some other more infamous actors in this matter do not. It would be a sad injustice if that were to occur.”
