Ted Johnson: Ted Johnson on brain concussions

When dead athletes’ brain tissue was examined posthumously, findings showed the brains had chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). The Center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy, CSTE, and the Sports Legacy Institute (SLI) announced on Tuesday, Jan 27, their findings of the relation of brain concussion and other health problems. Nowinski explained that the new findings suggested it was dangerous to get consussions. The long term effects of CTE may cause early deaths. Nowinski suggested the NFL should get involved.
