Tatum O’ Neal arrested

Tatum O’Neal, an Oscar-winning actress, was arrested in New York for allegedly buying crack and cocaine.

Tatum O’Neal, 44, was approached by police officers in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Tatum O’Neal asked if the police knew who she was. Tatum O’Neal said that she was researching a part as a junkie.

Tatum O’Neal, the ex-wife of tennis player John McEnroe, had a crack pipe on her when she was arrested at 7.30pm on Sunday night near her home.

Tatum O’Neal, daughter of actor Ryan O’Neal, was known as a former drug addict. Tatum O’Neal was arrested as a police drugs team raided the drugs blackspot. Tatum O’Neal tried to tell the police that her alleged purchase of drugs was a one-off. Tatum O’Neal said that she was clean for the past 2 years and only came to that place on Sunday.

Police charged Tatum O’Neal with criminal possession of a controlled substance. The alleged drug dealer, Alan Garcia, 33, was also arrested. Alan Garcia was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Tatum O’Neal, has three grown-up children with her ex-husband John McEnroe. Tatum O’Neal wrote her memoir, ” A Paper Life” (2004) Tatum O’Neal admitted that drinking and drug-taking were in her DNA.

Tatum O’Neal’s mother, the late actress Joanna Moore, was an alcoholic and dependent on amphetamines. This happened when Tatum O’Neal and her younger brother Griffin were very young in Los Angeles.

Tatum O’Neal completed addiction rehab in 1996. By then, Tatum O’Neal’s acting career was ruined. Tatum O’Neal enjoyed a comeback in 2007. Tatum O’Neal had a TV role as Denis Leary’s alcoholic sister in “Rescue Me.”
