Tami Farrell does not need to wait for the reigning Miss California 2009 Carrie Prejean to abdicate her throne to become Miss California. Tami Farrell has been named the “Beauty of California Ambassador”, or a Miss California alternate.

Miss California/ Miss Universe organization claimed Carrie Prejean has surrounded herself with handlers. They alleged Prejean no longer communicated with them, cooperated with them to resume responsibilities for Miss California’s duties.
