Sun Sentinel’s Jack Zink has died

Jack Zink, Sun Sentinel’s theater and arts critic for nearly 40 years, died of cancer on Monday, August 18. Jack Zink was 61.

Jack Zink worked for 3 major South Florida newspapers and worldwide entertainment news projects. Jack Zink founded the Carbonell awards. This Carbonell organization gives away scholarships to arts students. Mr. Zink is survived by his wife Cynthia Williamson-Zink, and four children shared from previous marriages.

A church service for friends and family will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Episcopal Church, 2250 SW 31st Ave., Fort Lauderdale. A public memorial service will be announced later. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Ambrose church or to the Carbonell Awards, P.O. Box 14211, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33302-4211.
