Steven Tuopeh, 14, has been charged as an adult for rape in Phoenix, Arizona. Three other boys were charged as juveniles. Steven Tuopeh has been accused of sexual assault and kidnapping a girl, 8 years old. Tuopeh and three boys, whose ages ranged from 9 to 14, tricked the girl into following them to a empty shed.

Tuopeh and the boys lured the girl with a fake promise of giving her chewing gum. Tuopeh and he boys restrained and raped the girl. Cops who arrived at the scene found the girl half clothed and the boys running away.

The girl’s parents blamed her for getting raped and refused to accept her back home. The girl was placed in child protective services. The victim and the suspects originally came from Liberia, a West African nation. They emigrated to the US.
