Steve McNair had paid for a second apartment for his cousin, Raymond White. However, the electric bill was charged to Adrianne Hobbs. Hobbs allegedly lived in the apartment in Nashville from Oct 24 to Aug 7. McNair paid rent for Hobbs and he was suspected to have some kind of link with Hobbs.

The manager of the apartment said McNair paid the rents personally before his death. The latest rental was due for the month and accrued charges are $1750 and McNair’s estate will be asked to pay.

Stephanie Burch-McMahan used to manage the apartment until early in 2009. She said she was aware that Raymond White did not live at the apartment but she didn’t want to embarrass McNair by asking him who lived in the rental unit.

Adrianne Hobbs said she did not know Steve McNair and had nothing to say about his death.

Steve McNair died on July 4.
