Steve Henley: Steve Henley executed

Steve Henley, 55, of Tennessee, was executed on death row. Henley was executed by lethal injection. Henley was sentenced to death for the murders of Fred Stafford and Edna Stafford. Henley shot Edna Stafford and Fred Stafford and then set their farm house on fire.

Steve Henley said he was innocent. Henley blamed his co-defendant Terry Flatt. Flatt testified against Henley. Flatt said Henley was drunk at the time the crimes were committed.

Flatt revealed that Henley’s motive was retaliation for a debt the Staffords supposedly owed his grandparents. Flatt has served his prison sentence of 5 years and has also finished his parole.
