Stacey Anvarinia, 36, was drunk when she breastfed her baby, 6 weeks old. Stacey Anvarinia pleaded guilty to child neglect charges. Anvarinia was found drunk and breastfeeding her baby on April 13. Police responded to a call on domestic disturbance.

Alcohol can be passed in the bloodstream from an intoxicated mother who breastfeeds. Anvarinia was charged with child neglect.

Anvarinia will be sentenced in August in North Dakota. Anvarinia faces a maximum of 5 years in prison when she is due for sentencing.
