Updated October 23 – Somer Thompson was last seen alive at 1080 Gano Ave. This was an empty house under renovation. Vinson Design and Build was the construction company that was working on the home.

James Vinson owns the company, while his brother, George Vinson, a registered sex offender, works in the company. Alissa Barrs is the sister of the Vinson brothers. Barrs said George Vinson worked on the Gano Ave home 2 months ago but he stopped after finding other work. The Vinson and Barrs family lives in Mandarin

The Vinson brothers were questioned by police. A truck and trailer were removed from their Mandarin home. Police said they did not have any suspects right now.

Updated October 22 – Clay County Sheriff confirmed Somer Thompson was found dead in the Georgia landfill. Somer was murdered. Her father, Samuel Thompson, was very upset.

Updated October 21 – Somer Renee Thompson may have been found. Everyone has to wait for positive confirmation after an autopsy. A young child’s body was found.

The garbage trucks from the Orange Park, Florida neighborhood traveled to Folkston, Charlton County, Georgia. The trucks dumped into a landfill in Folkston, Georgia.

Clay County investigators searched the landfill on Wednesday and found a young child’s body. Georgia officials will conduct an autopsy to determine the child’s gender and identity on Thursday, October 22.

Officials have notified the parents of Somer Renee Thompson to prepare them for the news should there be a confirmed identification.

What happened to Somer Renee Thompson? Somer Renee Thompson, 7, is missing. Thompson was walking home from school with her siblings and friends when she ran ahead of them and disappeared. Thompson has not been seen since Monday afternoon, October 19.

Thompson disappeared from the neighborhood of Orange Park, Florida. Thompson could have been abducted as there were unconfirmed reports of a vehicle and three people trying to lure a young girl to board their vehicle.
