Sokhak Peng went missing at 1:30 pm Sunday, Nov. 16. Sokhak Peng and his friend, Deanna Feey went to Arch Cape, Cannon Beach, Portland, and walked to the rocks at low tide. Peng and Feey took a nap at the rocks and when they awoke, the tide had already coime in and their route back to the mainland was submerged. A resident along the coast called the authorities.

A helicopter from the Coast Guard came to lift Feey away from the rocks. Feey told her rescuers that Sokhak Peng was seen struggling against the current before disappearing in the sea. The Coast Guard searched for Sokhak Peng for 3 hours. They said Sokhak Peng is missing in the ocean south of Cannon Beach.
