William R. Watkins was indicted by Jackson County grand jury on Fri. June 27, on three new counts of statutory sodomy and five counts of child molestation. These involved five girls, under the age of 12, between 2004 – 2007.

Last Dec 2007, William R. Watkins had similar charges brought against him on 2 girls.

William R. Watkins has been jailed pending his cash bond, which was set at $250,000.

David Dempsey, 45, receved 2 concurrent life sentences. He was convicted of sodomy by a non-jury trial. A Greene County judge in Springfield, Mo., David Dempsey has to serve at least 85% of the 30 year sentence.

David Dempsey went to spend the night with a neighbor, a mentally handicapped man. David Dempsey told his neighbor that he had been evicted from his apartment. When the man fell asleep, David Dempsey supposedly performed sodomy on his victim.

David Dempsey denied the sodomy charge. David Dempsey denied being inside his neighbor’s apartment. The prosecutor said that semen was found on a comforter.
