Skyla Jade Whitaker, 11, and Taylor Paschal-Placker, 13, were found shot to death on a dirt road in Weleetka, a rural community in central Oklahoma. Whitaker’s father, William Whitaker, firmly believed someone in the 1000 strong community committed the murders as the dirt road was too far out for a traveler to be casually passing through.

It was determined Whitaker and Paschal-Placker were killed by different guns on June 4, 2008. Either ether was one killer with two guns or two different killers murdered Whitaker and Paschal-Placker. Both girls were shot multiple times as the killer/s definitely wanted them dead for fear of being identified if either girl survived.

Authorities have suspected that the killer could be from Okfuskee County. Despite a $36,000 reward for tips leading to arrests, none of the tipsters have been on the mark.
