Simeon Rice, a former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end, called Jon Gruden a “scrumbag”. Simeon Rice called a derogatory name during an interview on Sirius NFL Radio on Tuesday, Jan 27.

Simoen Rice, 34, talked to Pat Kirwan and Tim Ryan, hosts of “Movin’ The Chains.” Rice mentioned a list of players who got injured playing and they got released or had some form of negative reaction because of Jon Gruden. Rice said Gruden did not consider his past record and did not ask about him when he (Rice) got injured.

Jon Gruden responded to Simeon Rice’s allegations. Gruden spoke to ESPN on Wed., Jan 28. Gruden avoided mentioning Simeon Rice. Gruden said, “Some people have taken shots and I understand that not everyone likes or agrees with what I do as a coach.”
