A Silver Asian Carp in Lake Chicot, Arkansas, jumped out of water and slapped Seth Russell. The Silver Asian Carp broke Russell’s jaw.

Seth Russell was floating on the Lake Chicot on an inner tube. He was on a line attached to a cruising boat and he was enjoying being pulled along the water when he was suddenly hit by the Silver Asian Carp.

Silver Asian Carp are known for leaping out of water in flying jumps. However, a fish that slapped so hard as to break the jaw of a fifteen year old boy was never heard of until today. The Silver Asian Carp smashed Seth Russell’s jaw so hard that he lost consciousness. Russell also suffered some sort of amnesia as he could not remember what had happened to him. The Silver Asian Carp was imported in the 1970s and released into Lake Chicot to help control the algae in the lake.
