Siegfried Fischbacher & Roy Horn: Fischbacher & Horn “20/20″ March 6 (video)

By Therese Lisieux on March 2nd, 2009

Siegfried Fischbacher and Roy Horn did a comeback show Saturday, Feb 28. The Fischbacher and Horn show was taped and will be aired later.

Siegfried and Roy used to be a successful duo of illusionists until about 5 years ago. The tiger attack ended Siegfried and Roy’s 45 year stage partnership.

Montecore, a Bengal tiger weighing 380 pounds, bit into Roy Horn’s neck and dragged him offstage that fateful day in October 2003. Ray Horn had a damaged neck artery and crushed windpipe. Horn was partially paralyzed but has since recovered.

Fischbacher and Horn’s show was for charity. Fischbacher and Horn reunited to stage a show to benefit the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. Horn now is a patient of a brain disorder. Horn highlights the Center because of his illness.

Fischbacher and Horn claimed that their tiger, Montecore, dragged Horn away because it felt Horn was in danger, of suffering a stroke. Animal experts disagreed that the tiger could have done such a thing.

Fischbacher and Horn’s new taped performance will air on March 6. The reunion show supposedly lasted for 15 minutes. ABC will televise Horn and Fischbacher in “20/20”, in a 1 hour special.
