Matthew Eaton and his wife, Laura Eaton, appeared on “Dr Phil” in November 2008 to discuss about how they made a living shoplifting and selling stolen goods to convert to cash.

Eaton had an ebay account with 628 positive feedbacks and 1 negative feedback for 2008. Eaton gave a low estimate of the amount of Lego he pilfered. Eaton said he stole $700 worth but his ebay account showed he sold $5000 worth of Lego.

Laura Eaton and Matthew Eaton underestimated the authorities. The San Diego Regional Fraud Task Force found the Eaton home. They had a search warrant. SDRFTF confiscated toys, a car and other material. Law enforcement searched Eaton’s home for stolen goods. Michael and Laura Eaton were not arrested.
