Instead of a photo of our latest president, a pair of white eyes took the place. The pair of white eyes against a black background did not relay a good message.

Sen. Black gave Goforth a letter of reprimand but she was not fired. Viewers of Goforth’s Historical Keepsake Photo have mixed views on the email. Some viewed it as a joke. Others thought it was bigotry.

Lighten up people. It’s a stupid joke. If you put me in front of a white background the only thing you’ll see is my sun-burned face and blue eyes. And yes, that is funny. Looks like a lobster just had his picture taken. Relax people. Sheesh.

The problem with racism is that those guilty of it don’t often realize that they are racist. Don’t fire her, but do require some racial sensitivity training.

Anything other than firing her is condoning this despicable example of middle America’s entrenched bigotry. She only regrets sending it, in her words, “to the wrong people,” not the sending of the image itself. Consider also(as has been pointed out) she busied herself at a government job on government computers with the mass distribution of slander aimed at our President. Remove this woman immediately if you want any hope of restoring even a kernel of credibility to Black’s office. This is not an innocent mistake, it’s evidence of a shameless hate-filled bigot working in government.

Sherri Goforth is going to benefit from this…Yesterday I didn’t know who she was….Tomorrow she’ll be writing a book…she’s getting a lot of press…….$$$$$$

I think she is racist! If a white president had to deal with what President Obama is dealing with it would be different. Conservatives and Liberals might come together. Our economy is failing and the one to blame is the one who’s trying to change it, but it began eight years ago.
