Jay Z was rumored to have fathered a son long before he met his present wife Beyonce Knowles, in September 2002. Jay-Z allegedly had a relationship with Shenelle Scott, a model in Trinidad. Jay Z and Scott’s rumored romance lasted until 2001.

The fruit of their union was a son, allegedly 7 years old now. Jay-Z’s spokesman has denied the rumors. However, some sources insist that the denial did not actually say Jay-Z fathered a son. In June, Jay-Z’s reps have refused to comment or deny the rumors.

Shenelle Scott and her son live in Trinidad. Their home cost $2.5 million. Jay Z supposedly bought the house for the mother and son after paternity tests proved him to be the father. Beyonce was rumored to have spent a holiday in the south of France with Scott’s son.

The boy is named Isa Jael and on his birth certificate, his father’s name was listed as Malik Sayeed. However, as early as April 12, 2007, Scott has denied that Malik Sayeed fathered Isa Jael. Scott would not confirm or deny if Jay-Z fathered her son. There were rumors that Jay Z allegedly paid her $1 million to keep quiet.
