Bangladesh’s ex Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina Wajed, won a big parliamentary majority in the country’s first election in 7 years. The “Grand Alliance” led by Hasina’s Awami League had won 263 seats in the 300-seat parliament. Out of these, Hasina’s Awami League alone won 229 seats. Ms Hasina’s new government will assume charge in 10 days.
