By Clarencia Cynrae on September 18th, 2009Sharron Kay Thornton has been blind for the past 9 years. Thornton, 60, was given a plastic lens that was fitted into her tooth. This entire living structure was implanted into her eye. Thornton now has 20/70 vision.
Sharron Kay Thornton wants to see her brood of 7 grandchildren who were born during the years when she was blind.
Thornton’s procedure is known as the modified osteo-odonto-keratoprosthesis (MOOKP).
