Shannon Burke shot dog and wife Catherine Burke

Shannon Burke, a radio host with Orlando radio 104.1 FM, was arrested on Thursday, April 30. Burke was charged with shooting his wife and his dog.

Burke appeared in court on Friday, May 1. Bail was set for Burke at $10,000.

Burke, 43, called 911 and told that he pointed a gun which went off. Burke said his wife, Catherine Burke, 48, was hit on the side of her head. The bullet went through the dog’s leg and grazed Catherine Burke on her head. Burke said it was an accident.

Mrs Burke was sent to Orlando Regional Hospital. The dog was sent to a vet’s clinic.
