Shaheen Jafargholi, 12, sang Michael Jackson’s “Who’s Loving You” on the reality TV show, “Britain’s Got Talent”. Jafargholi had a false start and was almost dismissed. Jafargholi sang the first few lines of Amy Winehouse’s “Valerie”, before he was stopped by Simon Cowell. Cowell heard that a feminine song with the notes did not go well with a male singer. The audience jeered at Cowell.

Back stage, the two hosts of Britain’s Got talent were equally disappointed. Jafargholi’s mother was devastated.

Cowell asked Jarfargholi to choose another song.

Jafargholi then chose MJ’s Motown classic. The audience cheered. After Jafargholi completed his song, all three judges gave him a standing ovation. Jafargholi is certainly competition for Susan Boyle. Judge Amanda Holden said Jafargholi reminded her of Paul Potts and George Sampson.

Shaheen Jafargholi was raised by his single mother Karen Thomas. Ms Thomas and Jafargholi live in Swansea, Wales, UK. Jafargholi said he felt blessed when Simon Cowell gave him a second chance after his false start. Jafargholi revealed he had nursed his ambition of being a singer since the day he was born.

Jafargholi had to persuade his mother to allow him to audition for Britain’s Got talent. KarenThomas thought her son was too young. Jafargholi acted as MJ in a stage musical called Thriller Live. Karen Thomas was convinced by Jafargholi’s performance that he could handle himself well enough.

Simon Cowell said Jarfargholi may be on the start of a new life. Piers Amanda Holden said it was a no brainer for her; Jafargholi got a yes vote from her. Morgan said Shaheen Jafargholi showed Wales has got talent. Jarfargholi won three positive votes from his judges.

The audience gave him a standing ovation.

Jafargholi’s appearance in Britain’s Got talent attracted 13 million viewers. His audition was posted on YouTube and it has been seen at least 100,000 times.
