Sgt Scott Kreher, the police union leader in Atlanta, has been stripped of his powers pending a psychological evaluation. Kreher passed a remark saying he wanted to beat the Mayor in the head with a baseball bat.

Mayor Shirley Franklin has reacted to say she thought it was a threat against her, her family and city officials. Sgt Kreher has apologized for his comment. Kreher claimed he was directing his remark at the way the treatment the officers received. Mayor Franklin refused to accept Kreher’s excuse. At this point in time, Franklin has plans to take legal action against Kreher. Mayor Franklin is angry with Kreher.
