Updated – Ervin Lupoe wrote a fax to KABC-TV informing of Ana Lupoe’s plan to kill their entire family because Ervin and Ana Lupoe lost their hospital jobs. Ervin Lupoe also called the police station, claiming he returned home to see his entire family shot. Police rushed to his home within minutes and when they reached, they could smell the fresh gunshot residue in the air.

Police said Ervin Lupoe was the suspect because a revolver was found next to his body, suggesting he was the last one shot. Ervin Lupoe wrote that he did not want to leave his kids to strangers. Lupooe blamed his former employer, Kaiser, for firing them, despite knowing they had 5 kids to raise.

Ervin Antonio Lupoe and his wife, Ana, worked as medical technicians at Kaiser Permante. Kaiser issued a statement to say they were sorry to learn of the deaths.

On Tuesday, Jan 27, a father shot dead his wife and 5 young children. The man then committed suicide. The family of seven were found dead in a home in a suburb of Wilmington, south of Los Angeles. It was suspected the man may have been fired from his job.

The dead children were an eight-year-old girl, five-year-old twin girls and two-year-old twin boys. The father contacted a local TV station and told them he was going to kill his family and then himself. The TV station contacted the police who then found the dead bodies. The identities are not yet revealed.
