John Calvert and Elizabeth Calvert lived on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. Their accountant Dennis Ray Gerwing was suspected of cheating them. Elizabeth Calvert and John Calvert met Gerwing and he could have been the last person to see them both alive on March 3 2008.  When the Calverts failed to keep their appointments and could not be contacted, they were reported as missing.

When Gerwing knew he was a suspect, he committed suicide. Gerwing’s suicide note referred vaguely to the Calverts.

When police checked Gerwing’s kitchen, they found soil which may lead to a place where there are clues about the Calverts. Police are checking the origin of the soil.
