Scott Schoeneweis wife Gabrielle Dawn Schoeneweis cause of death

Updated Dec 1 2009 – Gabrielle Schoeneweis, the wife of Scott Schoeneweis, was found dead on May 20, 2009. Scott Schoeneweis, a former pitcher for Arizona Diamondbacks, was deeply affected by his wife’s death.

Gabrielle Schoeneweis’ cause of death was from an overdose of cocaine, taken with lidocaine (an anesthetic). Scott Schoeneweis fought to prevent the release of information on Gabrielle’s cause of death but was unsuccessful. When his contract ended, he became a free agent.

May 20 2009.
Gabrielle Dawn Schoeneweis, 39, has died. Mrs Schoeneweis was Scott Schoeneweis’ wife. Scott is the Arizona Diamondbacks reliever. Mrs Schoeneweis was unconscious in her home.

One of the Schoeneweis children, a daughter, 14 years old, found the mother unresponsive on the floor of the master bedroom.

The Sheriff’s deputies could not resuscitate or revive her. Mrs Schoeneweis was pronounced dead at the scene. The medical coroner will investigate before making a statement on the cause of death. There were no signs of foul play.

The Schoeneweis couple had celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in Jan 2009.
