Scott Roeder, 51, a former convict, may be the suspect who shot George Tiller. The official press have not released the name of the suspect who shot George Tiller but news blogs have claimed Scott Roeder was the man.
Scott Philip Roeder is 51 years old. Roeder was born on February 25, 1958. Roeder is 6′-2″ tall and weighs 230 lbs. Roeder was convicted in 1996 in Shawnee County, Kansas. Roeder was found guilty in the charge for use of explosives. In 1997 Scott Roeder was sentenced to sixteen months in state prison for parole violations following a 1996 explosives conviction. Roeder violated parole by failing to give his social security number to his employer. Roeder also failed to file his income tax return.

George Tiller, 67, was fatally shot after 10 am Sunday, May 31. Breaking news reported that a suspect has been arrested late Sunday. The suspect, 51, was arrested 3 hours later. The suspect had fled to Kansas City, some 170 miles way. He will be brought back to Wichita and charged with the crime.
Tiller was serving as an usher at Reformation Lutheran Church, in Wichita, Kansas. The gunman came up to him and shot him. The gunman threatened another 2 members of the congregation after shooting Tiller. The church parishioners had tried to stop the gunman to prevent him from leaving.
Dr George Tiller had operated the clinic called Women’s Health Care Services at 5107 Kellog. Tiller performed late term abortions. Tiller had been the focus of abortion opponents for along time. In the past, protest groups had been showing up at the Reformation Lutheran Church periodically to stage protests at Dr George Tiller.
George Tiller had been a victim of a shooting more than 10 years ago.
