Scott Lee Cohen: Cohen former girlfriend domestic violence accusation
By Clarencia Cynrae on February 4th, 2010Updated Feb 7 – Scott Cohen resigned on Sunday night, Feb 7. Cohen withdrew from the race as the Illinois Democratic Candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Illinois. His party not only supported his resignation but strongly called for him to step down in the light of the embarrassing revelations of his past. Cohen lost $2 million of his own money.
Updated Feb 5 2010 – Scott Lee Cohen’s ex girlfriend was Amanda J Eneman. Eneman was arrested for prostitution at Eden Spa, in April 2005.
Eneman was caught in a sex sting when she agreed to do oral sex on an undercover cop. Eneman was baited with the offer of $150. The cop wrote his report saying Eneman told him prostitution was a common occurrence at Eden Spa.
Scott Lee Cohen said he never had a sexual encounter at Eden Spa. Cohen had met Eneman there but he said he got a normal massage at the Spa.
Eneman later became his live-in girlfriend for 5-6 months. Eneman had once accused him of domestic battery when he allegedly held a knife to her throat. The day was allegedly Oct 14, 2005. The charge was dropped when Eneman failed to appear in court to pursue the case.
Amanda Eneman is now 29 and apparently working as a masseuse. She wants to avoid being interviewed and it is highly unlikely she would come forward to defend Scott Lee Cohen.
Feb 4 2010 – Scott Lee Cohen is expected to produce his former girlfriend to explain away her old allegation of domestic violence against him. Cohen had claimed her accusation was a misunderstanding and she lied to police that he was violent towards her.
Cohen needs to clarify her identity as there is speculation she is/was a prostitute. Whoever or whatever she is or was in the past, Scott Lee Cohen needs to clear up this old case to be credible as a candidate for Lieutenant Governor.
Scott Lee Cohen spent $2 million from his own pocket to run in the race. There is speculation that Democrats may have to offer him incentive to leave the race to avoid further embarrassment to all.
