Scott Jones: Rock Hill’s Scott Jones sexual imposition case (photo)
By Clarencia Cynrae on January 17th, 2009Scott Jones, former director of Rock Hill band, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual imposition. This was a plea deal. Scott Jones has to surrender his teaching license, register as a sex offender for 15 years. Jones faces a maximum sentence of 60 days in a county jail and a maximum fine of $200 for each misdemeanor.
Jones originally faced serious charges of sexual battery. In the plea deal, the charges were amended to stating Jones had sexual contact with the victims. The girls were 17 or below 17.. The 2 victims declined to be present in court. Their families refused to talk in court and to the media.
