Sarah Palin pardoned a turkey by giving it its life. Then Palin gave her good-feeling interview against the backdrop of the slaughter machine. A turkey worker was continuously processing turkeys being hung upside down in a machine that did something to the birds. Sarah Palin hadn’t the faintest clue what was going on behind her, nor did she pause to take stock of her environment.

On the other hand, the TV journalist and crew failed to persuade or suggest an alternative backdrop. Palin can only do so much to pardon one turkey but thousands or millions are getting killed this Thanksgiving.
