Sam Shepard was arrested on Jan. 3 for drink driving and speeding. Police alleged Shepard was speeding at 46 mph in a residential district named Normal, in IL. Sam Shepard was asked on police to pull over. Shepard obliged and parked his car on the curb. That may have caused an additional charge of improper lane usage. Shepard took a breath analyzer test and blew 0.175, twice the legal limit. The limit is 0.08 for driving.

Sam Shepard was arrested and sent to McLean County Jail. Shepard has posted bond and has to appear in court to face charges soon.

Shepard, 65, was traveling northbound on the North Main Street at 2 am when police radar clocked him going 46 mph in a 30 mph zone. It was another bad news for Shepard as he parked his Chevy Tahoe up on the curb. Shepard told police he was passing through Bloomington-Normal as he was driving from Minnesota to Kentucky. Shepard’s home address is Kentucky and his car was registered to an address in KY.
