Joseph J. Illuzzi, a blogger, forwarded emails as allegations that Assemblyman Sam Hoyt, of Buffalo, had affairs with two interns. The emails were sent to Speaker Sheldon Silver, who promised appropriate action.

Sam Hoyt would only say that he had broken his marriage vows 3 and ½ years ago. Sam Hoyt is the second Assemblyman allegedly caught for fraternization with interns after Michael W. Cole, R-Alden was caught spending a night at an intern’s apartment. He was stripped of his post although he defended himself by saying he stayed because he was too drunk to drive.
