Ryan Wayne White was born on December 6, 1971 and died on April 8, 1990. Ryan White had AIDS. White was a hemophiliac who got infected from contaminated medical equipment. White was discovered to have contacted AIDS in 1984. Doctors gave White 6 months to live but he shocked them by outliving their prognosis.

Ryan White encountered opposition, prejudice and bias when he tried to live a normal live by attending school. White was responsible for the campaign for public education on HIV and AIDS. People were afraid of getting the virus if they came into contact with White.

White was an AIDS crusader but he failed to gain acceptance in his old school. When his home was shot by a bullet, his family decided to move. The long story and photo of Ryan White is here.
