Ryan Piers Williams is the director and screenwriter for “American Tragic.” This is a movie about a young soldier who has difficulties re-integrating with his small community after he returned from his service in the army. America Ferrera, the lead actress in Ugly Betty, will be the executive producer. Ryan O’Nan takes the role of the young soldier. The soldier leaves his old home behind in search of answers and redemption. America Ferrera plays the long suffering soldier’s wife. Melissa Leo plays the soldier’s mother and June Diane Raphael plays his sister. “American Tragic” will start filming on location in Mexico, in Feb. 2009.
