Rusty Wier died on October 9. Rusty Wier, 65, was a musician in Texas. Wier’s music career spanned over 30 years. In 2002, Rusty Wier was inducted into the Austin Songwriters Hall of Fame. Wier was a popular evergreen performer who played in the Texas and European circuits.

Rusty Wier had cancer in 2007. Wier had some chemotherapy treatment. His cause of death was not confirmed but may have been related to cancer.

Rusty Wire’s best received song was “Don’t It Make You Wanna Dance”. Walker and Bonnie Raitt have both recorded the song.
