By Therese Lisieux on March 21st, 2009The first Spanish transsexual to become pregnant is Ruben Noe Coronado, 25. Coronado is expecting twins. Coronado had planned to have transgender surgery to become a man but he has decided to postpone this in order to give birth to his twins.
Coronado had undergone fertility treatment after learning that his girlfriend Esperanza Ruiz, 43, was unable to conceive. Ruiz has two children from a previous relationship.
Coronado was born female and named Estefania or Stephanie. Mr Coronado is expected to deliver his babies around end of September. Coronado and Ruiz intend to marry before their twins are born. After delivery, Coronado will resume his sex change operation as he wants to be a father to the twins. He will become the first transsexual father of twins in Spain.
