Ron White, the comedian whose nickname used to be Tater Salad, is in trouble over a smoking violation. White smoked his cigar in a public place. In North Dakota, there is an ordinance against smoking in public places. Police recorded evidence of Ron White smoking his cigar.

The cops gave the evidence to the city attorney. It is up to them to decide if they wish to prosecute Ron White. If convicted, White faces a $500 fine.

Updated – The Bismarck City Attorney’s office has decided to pursue the violation. This is White’s first infraction on smoking in N.C. White probably has to fork out only $100. Ron White’s rep to make comments in response to this incident.
