Rodney Liverman Sr, of Norwood, was arrested for raping a woman in North Carolina. Liverman had responded to an ad in Craigslist asking for a man to rape a woman. The husband of the woman had posted the online ad asking for a man to rape his wife. The husband has been arrested and his bail was set at $200,000.

Liverman’s bail was set at $250,000. Liverman had been charged with rape and 3 other offences.

Liverman allegedly entered the home in Kannapolis, Charlotte, NC, on May 31, 2009. Liverman, armed with a knife,confronted the woman and her husband and demanded money. Liverman then ordered her to strip and raped her. The woman’s husband watched in the background and did not attempt to help her.

The husband had been convicted of indecent exposure to a pizza delivery woman in 2008. He received a 30 day suspended sentence.

Craigslist and the US Secret Service helped to track down Liverman.
