Robert Stinson: Robert Stinson freed from prison (photo)
By Therese Lisieux on January 30th, 2009Robert Lee Stinson, who was convicted of murder in 1985, will be released today, Friday, Jan 30. Stinson will be freed because new evidence suggested Stinson was not the wanted suspect.
The murdered victim had a bite mark and saliva on her. New DNA evidence showed the bite mark used to convict Stinson did not belong to Stinson. The saliva on the victim did not belong to Stinson. The judge overturned Stinson’s conviction in the morning of Jan 30. Stinson would be free to be released very soon. The Innocence Project took up Robert Stinson’s case to get the new DNA analysis done.
