Robert Sparks convicted for Chare Agnew, Harold Sublet, Raeqwon Agnew
By Therese Lisieux on December 5th, 2008Robert Sparks went on trial for killing his wife and his 2 stepsons on Sept. 15, 2007. On Thursday, Dec. 4, the jury returned a guilty verdict on Robert Sparks, 34. Sparks killed Chare Agnew and her two sons, Harold Sublet, 9, and Raeqwon Agnew, 10. Then, Sparks raped his stepdaughters, one aged 14 and the other, younger than 14.
The trial on Thursday was delayed for a few hours when Robert Sparks refused to eat breakfast and said he overdosed on Trazodone pills, an antidepressant. Sparks said he popped 12 -15 pills. Sparks was taken to hospital. Then a psychologist examined him to determine if he was fit to stand trial.
On Monday, Dec. 8, the jury will debate on Robert Sparks again. The jury will decide if Sparks will get a death sentence or life in prison with no chance for parole.
