Robert Redford: Robert Redford on Paul Newman’s death

Redford said Newman was a true friend who left a good mark on the world. Redford, 72, is about eleven years Newman’s junior. Redford and acted with Newman in famous classics like “The Sting” and “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.”
Robert Redford said he was at a loss for words as his feelings overwhelmed him. Redford realized that Newman had helped him catapult into fame with the co –starring in “butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.” Robert Redford revealed he had shared a friendship with Paul Newman that spanned over fifty years. Their last movie together on tape was for “The Sting.” Redford and Newman had collaborated for “A Walk in the Woods”, a story by Bill Bryson, but Newman backed out around 2 months ago. Newman told Redford he was retiring.
