Robert McNamara died on July 6. McNamara passed away at the age of 93.

Robert McNamara was 88 when he married. McNamara married Byfield on Sep 16 in Italy in 2004. McNamara was well known for his work when he was the defense secretary to President John Kennedy and President Lyndon Johnson. McNamara and Byfield had a private wedding ceremony and honeymooned in Sardinia.

After their wedding, McNamara and Byfield divided their time between living in two homes in Middleberg and Watergate.

McNamara’s first wife was Margaret Craig. Craig died of cancer in 1981.
