Robert McClendon released from child rape sentence

Robert McClendon, 52, was released from prison after 18 years because new DNA testing determined he was not the male who raped a girl, aged 10.

Robert McClendon will be celebrating his release with his relatives and friends. Robert McClendon has new goals in life. Robert McClendon wants a job or business and may speak on DNA testing. Robert McClendon believes that criminals of innocents in jail should be given the chance to use DNA testing.

When Robert McClendon was tried in 1991, he pleaded innocent but was convicted. Robert McClendon was sentenced to 15 years to life imprisonment. After 15 years, Robert McClendon’s lawyer applied for parole but it was rejected in 2007.

The girl who was 10 years old back then may have lied about Robert McClendon. She said that he took her from her backyard, blindfolded her eyes, brought her into a house, and then raped her. She reported the rape the following day. Her underwear was used for the DNA Testing.
