Robert Lucas, the former singer of “Canned Heat” died of drugs overdose. Robert Lucas passed away at his friend’s house in Long Beach, California, on Sun., Nov. 23. Lucas was 46 when he died.Lucas’ former manager, Skip Taylor, said that the cause of death was an apparent drugs overdose.

Robert Lucas was the lead singer, harmonica and bottleneck guitar player between 1994 – 2008 for Canned Heat.
Lucas left “Canned Heat” to concentrate on his solo career. Lucas wrote and recorded 7 solo albums.
