The Rob, Arnie & Dawn show on KRXQ has a new controversy. On May 28, Rob, Arnie and Dawn were chatting about transgender teens. Arnie States said if his son wore high heels, he would throw his shoe at him.
The fallout of the joke resulted in Verizon and Chipotle, Bank of America and a other companies putting the stopper on their advertising slots on the radio show.
By Monday, June 8, the radio station at KRXQ played music and was without the radio hosts. The official website, robarnieanddawn.com, posted a message to fans. Rob Williams wrote the message on behalf of Arnie States, and Dawn Rossi. Williams promised to address the issue of transgender teens on Thursday, June 11, 7:30 am.
The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) demanded an apology from the two male hosts, States and Williams. The GLAAD said Ms Rossi defended the transgender people and she was not expected to say sorry.
