Rita Wilde & Bob Buchmann: Buchmann replaced Wilde at KLOS-FM 95.5
By Clarencia Cynrae on January 24th, 2009Rita Wilde has left KLOS-FM (95.5) after 25 years. Wilde started as a DJ and rose steadily in ranks to become a music director and then program director. In the typical radio style of farewells, no official explanations were forthcoming.
KLOS President John H Davison was mum. Wilde did not leave any forwarding address by telling what she would be doing in her future or where she would be going. Davison sung some last praises for Wilde by saying she showed devotion to the station. Rita Wilde said she was leaving KLOS-FM (95.5) “with my dignity and integrity intact.” It sounds kind of cryptic.
Rita Wilde is replaced by Bob Buchmann. Buchmann was the former program director at WAXQ-FM in New York. That is a classic rock station.

Now maybe KLOS can start playing some real classic rock as opposed to the same old songs from U2 and HER favorite top ten lists.
You could listen to the station on Monday, hear three songs, then tune in on Thursday and hear the same three songs, in the same order all over again.
Now to get rid of the Monday early morning talk show host. PLEASE!!!!

Bob Buchmann did a great job at Q104.3 in New York; he had them constantly at the top of the ratings and he is missed on the New York radio scene. As a Q104 listener I wish him all the best in L.A.
