Rita Brum, 24, a new PE teacher in Mount Pleasant High School, in East San Jose, was arrested. Brum was accused of having a sexual relationship with a female student.

Rita Brum will be arraigned on Thursday, March 12. Brum will be charged with having sexual relations with a minor, the 17 year old girl. Brum was freed from jail after she posted $15000 bail.

The girl, 17, has talked about her relationship with Brum. Her mother found a love letter from Brum to the girl and questioned her about it. The mother has also met Brum. There was an altercation and the police were called. That was when the authorities learned about the illicit sexual relationship between the girl and Rita Brum.
