Rico Newman was arrested and detained in jail. Rico Newman, the Leilehua High School running back, was offered scholarships by 3 schools. That has changed. Newman was accused of physical assault and sexual assault on his ex-girlfriend.

On Monday, Feb 2, the ex went to Newman’s house to fetch their 18 month old son. Newman allegedly assaulted her. Newman was indicted on assault charges.
