Rick Bryan: Footballer Rick Bryan died

Rick Bryan, a faithful footballer with the Atlanta Falcons, has died at the age of 47. Bryan was with the NFL and spent his football career playing with the Falcons. Bryan had congestive heart failure and died on Saturday, July 25.

Rick Bryan held the record of 365 tackles by a linesman. He was a three time All-Big Eight selection and a two time All-American nominee. Bryan played for Oklahoma during 1981 to 1983. Bryan was drafted by the Falcons in 1984. Bryan had a record of 29 sacks in his 10 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. After his retirement, Bryan returned to Oklahoma to become a farmer.

Rick Bryan’s death was announced by the Wright Funeral Home, in Coweta, Oklahoma. Wright said Bryan died on Saturday night. Rick Bryan left behind his wife, and three kids. Funeral services will be on Thursday, in Coweta.
